I am a Barrister and Solicitor of the Law Society of Ontario and the Founder and Principal Lawyer of NAHSAN LAW in Toronto. An LL.M. graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School (ON) and of Nottingham Trent University (United Kingdom), I was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2009 and admitted as an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, where I spent nearly a decade focusing on constitutional & administrative as well as commercial arbitrations.
Drawing on this cross-jurisdictional background, I now focus on Canadian Immigration and Refugee Law—handling temporary and permanent resident applications, refugee matters, humanitarian submissions, and Federal Court judicial reviews—while advising on select family, civil disputes as well as criminal matters. As an external legal counsel to Aclara Immigration Services, I lead complex matters involving refusals and vulnerable applicants. My advocacy is grounded in procedural rigour, cultural sensitivity, and a deep commitment to accessible justice—particularly for immigrants and families navigating transitional or vulnerable situations.

FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL LAWYER
As the Founder and Principal Lawyer of NAHSAN LAW in Toronto, my practice is anchored in Immigration and Refugee Law: I prepare and litigate complex matters ranging from temporary resident visas and spousal sponsorships to humanitarian and compassionate applications, inadmissibility opinions, and judicial reviews before the Federal Court, while appearing before the Refugee Protection Division and Refugee Appeal Division as well as the Federal Court on immigration matters. Complementing this core focus, I also advise on select Family, Civil, and Criminal matters.
Aclara Immigration Services
In addition to leading NAHSAN LAW, I serve as an external legal counsel at Aclara Immigration Services, an Immigration Consulting firm with offices in Toronto and Dhaka. Aclara provides comprehensive services across all major Canadian immigration pathways, including study and work permits, family and spousal sponsorships, permanent residency streams, refugee and citizenship matters.
Since 2022, I have actively collaborated with Aclara’s team on complex immigration files, offering strategic legal insight and direct engagement with clients facing nuanced or high-stakes issues. I work closely with Sharmin Alam, RCIC-IRB, and a team of caseworkers and legal assistants to ensure that each application reflects both procedural accuracy and individualized care.
Matters requiring detailed legal submissions, formal representation, or judicial review before the Federal Court are referred to me under my legal practice at NAHSAN LAW. This internal collaboration ensures that clients receive seamless support from initial consultation to advanced legal advocacy, with a single point of trust and continuity throughout their immigration journey.

INTERNATIONAL EXPRIENCE
My international practice has been shaped by two complementary pillars—public-law litigation and alternative dispute resolution. In Dhaka, I spent nearly a decade appearing before the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh on constitutional and administrative writs challenging executive action, as well as on company-law and fiscal matters. The urgency and precedent-driven reasoning demanded in those proceedings now inform the concise, statute-anchored arguments I advance before Canadian tribunals and the Federal Court.
Running in parallel was a steadily deepening focus on commercial arbitration and mediation. As an accredited trainer with the Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC), I served as a resource person for intensive one- and two-day programmes on drafting arbitration clauses, advocacy in hearings, and award enforcement, attended by practising lawyers, law students, and both public- and private-sector officers. I hold a “Training of Trainers” certificate from the International Law Institute in Washington, which equips me to design and deliver these sessions in line with global best practices. At BIAC’s request I have represented the centre abroad, conducting workshops in China and Vietnam that introduced regional practitioners to Bangladesh’s Arbitration Act and comparative enforcement strategies.
Complementing my arbitration work, I am an accredited mediator of the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs. These combined experiences – constitutional litigation that safeguards the rule of law and hands-on dispute-resolution training that keeps commerce moving – enable me to craft persuasive, culturally attuned strategies for immigrants, businesses, and families seeking justice in Canada.
LANGUAGES AND ACADEMIC ENGAGEMENT
Throughout my practice I communicated fluently in English, Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu, enabling me to bridge language gaps for South Asian clients and to present submissions without the need for interpretation.
I served as a judge and evaluator at national moot-court competitions in Bangladesh organised by the University of Dhaka, BRAC University, the London College of Legal Studies, and Bhuiyan Academy, where I mentored aspiring advocates on oral advocacy and procedural discipline. I also lectured on Jurisprudence at the London College of Legal Studies and taught Common Law Reasoning and Institutions at Newcastle Law Academy under the University of London International Programme, guiding undergraduate students through foundational common-law doctrine and critical legal theory.
CREATIVE CONTENT & PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT
Alongside my legal work, I regularly produce bilingual social-media content—photographs, short videos, and concise explainers in English and Bengali—designed to clarify Canadian immigration pathways for Bangladeshi-Canadian audiences. My posts pair candid travel and street photography with practical commentary on visa options, policy updates, and settlement resources, making complex rules accessible to newcomers and their families. From time to time, I invite guest speakers – fellow practitioners, former clients, and community advocates to join live streams or recorded segments that deepen these discussions and showcase real-world success stories. This blend of visual storytelling and public education keeps my practice grounded in the lived experiences of the communities I serve and reinforces my commitment to transparent, culturally attuned advocacy.
