Principal Founder, Rashed Amin Law

Rashed Amin is a Toronto-based criminal defense lawyer and is the principal founder of Rashed Amin Law with a strong foundation in law and public policy. He holds a Juris Doctor (JD) from Lakehead University, and Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Political Science and City Studies from the University of Toronto. Rashed began his legal career with placements at the Crown Attorney’s Office in Dryden, Ontario, and later served as Assistant Crown Attorney. He subsequently gained experience at Edward H. Royle & Partners LLP before founding his own practice, Rashed Amin Law Professional Corporation. In addition to his legal work, he has a creative background as a former professional photographer and small business owner, bringing a client-focused and entrepreneurial mindset to his legal practice.
A former Assistant Crown Attorney turned seasoned criminal-defense counsel, Rashed Amin works in association with NAHSAN LAW chiefly on criminal-law files—bail hearings, assault, theft and robbery, fraud, weapons offences, impaired driving, and other charges—while occasionally lending insight on intersecting legal issues. Guided by an unwavering commitment to the presumption of innocence and to amplifying marginalized voices, Rashed pairs courtroom tenacity with compassionate, client-centered service, always aiming for justice over compromise and victory over mere settlement.
